About the Conference

Organised by UNA-UK’s Conference Committee, the all-day event is an accessible forum for a member- and supporter-led discussion on United Nations international topics.

A selection of topics submitted by participants will be presented, debated and discussed throughout the day. If there is a particular topic you would like to discuss, please see instructions on how to make a submission below.

There will also be an opportunity to meet UNA-UK staff, including the new CEO Marissa Conway.

How to Join

You can join in-person or online. Please ensure you select the correct ticket type to let us know whether you will be joining in-person or online.

A digital ticket to attend the conference, whether in-person or online, costs £5 per person.

Refreshments

In order to keep ticket prices low, there will only be light refreshments provided. Please bring your own food – lunch and snacks – for the day. There are shops, cafes and restaurants close to the venue, and there will be a short break for lunch if you wish to purchase refreshments.

How to submit a topic for discussion

If there is a topic you would like to present, debate and discuss at the conference, please submit a 100-word proposal by 12 noon on Friday 24th February 2023.

Please send your submission to info@una.org.uk, with ‘Annual Conference Topic Submission’ as the email subject line.

The conference committee will then select the most topics receiving the most support for discussion. Those who have submitted a topic selected for discussion will be emailed and asked to provide presentation notes to be circulated to the rest of the conference attendees.

Only submissions made by those registered to attend the conference will be accepted.
