UNA Central are planning to start a project to inform young people in the central region about the United Nations. We believe it is important to engage this audience in order to maintain interest in the UN and develop activities led by young people, including joining UNA-UK and its branches.

We anticipate that the project will consist of activities such as:

• Identifying UNA Branch members or UNA-UK supporters who who would be able to visit schools, young people’s clubs, scouts, girl guide and other similar groups, talk to them, listen to their views and inform them how they can find out more information;
• Add information relevant to these young people to the Central Region website;
• Create discussion forums where young people can plan their own activities.

We are open to suggestions about exactly what should be done and on what time-line.

We therefore invite members of UNA Branches and other organisations in the region to write to admin@unacentral.uk and let us know you are interested in finding out more about this project.
