The United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC) has 12 online courses in English dealing with UN-related topics that are open to anyone as well as a similar number open only to UN staff. It also offers another 22 online English courses which require payment as well as some which involve face to face events.

Many of these courses could be useful to enable UNA branch committee members to deepen their knowledge about important topics.

For example, the course on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Primer course is free and online and contains an excellent overview of them.

Note that the UNSSC suggests the course will take about 3 hours. However, considering it consists of 5 modules each with about 4 sessions and each session covers 7 points, making a total of about 140 points, one might question whether one could absorb all this information in 3 hours. At least one student recommends you allow at least ten times this duration if you really want to explore all the information available!
