DESCRIPTION:Global sport is already facing major disruption from the climate crisis\, and it will worsen in the coming decades. \nNo sport will be exempt from these impacts\, and the time to act is now. \nCrucial early adopters have been working towards sport having a lower environmental footprint for decades\, but a critical mass of sport properties globally are getting behind this effort right now thanks to the UN Sports For Climate Action and other key initiatives. Sport has never been in a more powerful position to harness the zeitgeist to drive change that will safeguard its future\, positively impact the world for generations to come\, and evolve the sports business model towards a more sustainable economic foundation. \nAttendees will\n\nHear from leaders in the global Sport x Sustainability space\, to inspire them to increase action and ambition with new ideas\nHear from peers and experts to discuss ideas with global colleagues and improve their organisational models to help the planet and the business\nGet the roadmaps to some of the biggest issues they are facing right now.\nNetwork with people who join in person\, as well as connecting with virtual attendees; chat informally during networking meeting; and use an app to find likeminded people and book meetings.\n\nSports Positive Summit 2023 will once again be livestreamed for those who wish to join remotely. \nMore information at sportpositivesummit.com

DESCRIPTION:Join UNA-UK members\, supporters\, staff and trustees for a dynamic discussion on important topics affecting the global community. \nAttend the event live in London or online. \nRegister here by 12 noon on 17th March to attend\nVenue\nThe Conference Hall\nResource for London\,\n356 Holloway Road\,\nLondon N7 6PA \nAbout the Conference\nOrganised by UNA-UK’s Conference Committee\, the all-day event is an accessible forum for a member- and supporter-led discussion on United Nations international topics. \nA selection of topics submitted by participants will be presented\, debated and discussed throughout the day. If there is a particular topic you would like to discuss\, please see instructions on how to make a submission below. \nThere will also be an opportunity to meet UNA-UK staff\, including the new CEO Marissa Conway. \nHow to Join\nYou can join in-person or online. Please ensure you select the correct ticket type to let us know whether you will be joining in-person or online. \nA digital ticket to attend the conference\, whether in-person or online\, costs £5 per person. \nRegister here by 12 noon on 17th March to attend. \nRefreshments\nIn order to keep ticket prices low\, there will only be light refreshments provided. Please bring your own food – lunch and snacks – for the day. There are shops\, cafes and restaurants close to the venue\, and there will be a short break for lunch if you wish to purchase refreshments. \nHow to submit a topic for discussion\nIf there is a topic you would like to present\, debate and discuss at the conference\, please submit a 100-word proposal by 12 noon on Friday 24th February 2023. \nPlease send your submission to info@una.org.uk\, with ‘Annual Conference Topic Submission’ as the email subject line. \nThe conference committee will then select the most topics receiving the most support for discussion. Those who have submitted a topic selected for discussion will be emailed and asked to provide presentation notes to be circulated to the rest of the conference attendees. \nOnly submissions made by those registered to attend the conference will be accepted.
